CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme Inauguration
The Punjab Government officially launched the solar scheme for 100,000 consumers. It is a relief for consumers who are burdened by high electricity bills. People in Pakistan suffer from high electricity costs due to IPPs’ expensive unit rates (independent power plants). Consumers of above 200 units have to pay 10,000 to 18,000 monthly electricity bills.
In August and September 2024, the Punjab Govt has subsidized consumers of 200 plus units. It was not a huge relief. Therefore, an initiative has been taken by executives of Punjab Govt to launch the free solar panel scheme for 100,000 consumers. It is the long-term and permanent relief by the Punjab Government. We have shared the features and specifications of the CM Punjab free solar panel scheme in another article.
